TAFE Group contributes ₹ 2 Crores to MP CM Relief Fund to fight COVID-19

 

The TAFE Group – manufacturer of Eicher and Massey Ferguson tractors, donates ₹ 2 Crores to the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support the MP Government’s fight against COVID-19.

Since the lockdown, various manufacturing facilities of the TAFE Group have been involved in distribution of food, medical supplies and personal protection equipment to law enforcement officers, sanitation workers, local poor and migrant workers around its area of operations. The effect of the Coronavirus outbreak during the Rabi season is likely to have an adverse impact on the livelihood of small and marginal farmers, and it is with a view to assist them in overcoming this distress that TAFE has also initiated a unique free tractor rental scheme in select states.

COVID-19 Relief Measures | TMTL Team at Bhopal Distributes 500 Food Parcels Daily

The TAFE Motors and Tractors Limited (TMTL) Team at Bhopal has been supporting the local police and administration by providing hygienically packaged cooked meals everyday, to help them battle the COVID-19 situation. Realising the criticality of the situation, the team started this initiative right on the second day of the lockdown and has been churning out food parcels two times a day since then, which are prepared at the Eicher Tractors plant in Mandideep. Daily, about 500 food packets are delivered in foils and other non-plastic material, grouped together in closed carton boxes. Extreme care is taken while preparing the food and while delivery. Hygiene and safety is given the first priority and proper Social Distancing is practiced at each stage along with the use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

This initiative has been widely appreciated by the local authorities and has also inspired six other companies to adopt the same. A big shout-out to the TMTL – Eicher Tractors Team for their commendable gesture and for proving that we can truly stay together, even while staying apart!

TAFE offers Free Tractor Rental for Small Farmers of UP during COVID-19

 

April 09, 2020 | Uttar Pradesh: In an attempt to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus threat on small and marginal farmers of Uttar Pradesh and to support the farming community during a crucial cropping season, TAFE, under its CSR initiative, announced a free tractor rental scheme through its JFarm Services platform, for a duration of 90 days starting April 1, 2020. This scheme will be available across 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh with immediate effect and will be ramped up in other districts as well.

TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited, towards this initiative has brought together a large group of its Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and will offer 3,000 tractors and implements on a free rental basis and the renters hiring out Massey Ferguson, Eicher Tractors and implements will be paid directly by the company.

Farmers can book their orders on JFarm Services mobile app or toll-free helpline 1800-208-4242, as well as various on-ground touchpoints like its field officers, dealer network etc. across the state, who are already working closely with the farming community of Uttar Pradesh. The farmers can also get updates on the scheme from the call center.

TAFE’s Chairman and Managing Director – Mallika Srinivasan said, “Uttar Pradesh is one of the largest states that contributes to the agriculture GDP of India and plays a very significant role in the agriculture development of the country. The impact of COVID-19 during the Rabi season is likely to have an adverse impact on the livelihood of small and marginal farmers, and it is with a view to assist them in overcoming this distress that TAFE has initiated the free tractor rental scheme. We are very thankful that under the dynamic leadership of the Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri. Yogi Adityanath, the UP Government has come forward to support the successful implementation of TAFE’s CSR initiative of free tractor rental to small and marginal farmers of the state.”

TAFE Corporate Communications Team wins Two Awards in the second edition of the ET-Brand Equity Kaleido Awards 2020. TAFE offers Free Tractor Rental for Small Farmers of Tamil Nadu during COVID-19

 

In an attempt to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus threat on small and marginal farmers of Tamil Nadu and to support the farming community during a crucial cropping season, TAFE, under its CSR initiative, announced a free tractor rental scheme through its JFarm Services platform on the Uzhavan App, for a duration of 90 days starting April 1, 2020. This scheme will be available across 30 districts of Tamil Nadu.

TAFE, towards this initiative has brought together a large group of its Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and will offer over 4,400 tractors and 10,500 implements on a free of cost rental basis. The renters hiring out Massey Ferguson, Eicher Tractors and implements will be paid directly by the company.

TAFE is well equipped to handle all the operational aspects of implementing the scheme across the State using its existing JFarm Services digital platform on the Uzhavan app, toll-free helpline 1800-4200-100, as well as various on-ground touchpoints like its field officers, dealer network etc. across the state, who are already working closely with the farming community of Tamil Nadu.

TAFE’s Chairman and Managing Director – Mallika Srinivasan said, “The rabi season is crucial to sustain the livelihoods of the farmers of Tamil Nadu. At this crucial juncture, TAFE seeks to do its best to support the small and marginal farmers of the state to tide over the crisis caused by COVID-19 by offering free rental services of Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors. We commend the Tamil Nadu Government and its administration for their extraordinary efforts in ensuring the effective deployment of all health and administrative initiatives to support all sections of society”.

Speaking in this connection, Thiru. Gagandeep Singh Bedi (IAS), Agriculture Production Commissioner and Principal Secretary, Department of Agriculture, Government of Tamil Nadu, said, “My compliments to Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE) for coming out with the free of cost tractor rental offer to support the small and marginal farmers of Tamil Nadu during this cropping season, especially at this time of distress due to COVID-19. The Government of Tamil Nadu welcomes this timely initiative and is happy to partner with TAFE as this will be of immense help to several needy farmers in the State”.

TAFE has requested the advisory and administrative support of the Department of Agriculture, Government of Tamil Nadu, and the district level officials to ensure small and marginal farmers are able to avail the offer in a timely manner.

April 04, 2020 | Rajasthan: In an attempt to mitigate the impact of the Coronavirus threat on small and marginal farmers of Rajasthan and to support the farming community during a crucial cropping season, TAFE, under its CSR initiative, announced a free tractor rental scheme through its JFarm Services platform, for a duration of 90 days starting April 1, 2020. This scheme will be available across 20 districts of Rajasthan.

TAFE, towards this initiative has brought together a large group of its Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and will offer 11,000 tractors and 50,000 implements on a free rental basis. The renters hiring out Massey Ferguson, Eicher Tractors and implements will be paid directly by the company.

Farmers can book their orders on JFarm Services mobile app or toll-free helpline 1800-4200-100, as well as various on-ground touchpoints like its field officers, dealer network etc. across the state, who are already working closely with the farming community of Rajasthan.

Most Number of Tractors Checked in a Service Camp

Setting Record Standards of Customer Support | TAFE, in association with its authorized dealer M.G. Brothers Industries Private Limited, organized a mega service camp in Madanapalle, Andhra Pradesh, on March 16, 2019, that set a new industry benchmark and has been published in the Limca Book of Records – 2020. A record breaking 614 tractors were serviced at a single location, in a duration of 9 hours 35 minutes with the help of 100 people. Think customer care, think TAFE!

Dear Team

I hope you and families are well and taking necessary precautions to arrest the spread of the Covid19 pandemic.

The self-imposed ‘Janta Curfew’ was a show of solidarity for India as a Nation and also a recognition of what lies ahead.

We at TAFE, have decided to close operations across the country, even in states where there is no lockdown. All our manufacturing plants will be shut down and offices will remain closed, except for critical functions, and, teams will be working from home. All preparations are being made in earnest to facilitate this arrangement.

Both Alwar and Bhopal plants are closed. Doddaballapur, Madurai, Sembiam and Parwanoo plants are winding up its operations and will shutdown on 24/03/2020 except for the critical functions in both the offices and plants. The corporate office has now implemented the “Work from Home” arrangement and teams will be working from home from tomorrow. All Sales and Regional offices are closed and Marketing Teams across the country have been briefed to work from home. All these decisions are effective from today until further notice.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank in advance all the critical-team members who will continue to support our departments and customers, especially our service teams from Tractor and Engines Division. The Engines service team is doing their best to service the telecom sector and emergency operations across the country. I would also like to recognize and appreciate the efforts of the support functions like Admin and IT.

Our communication lines remain open and I request you to reach out to your manager or the respective HR team for any concern or questions. I will be communicating updates as and when they occur. Stay tuned to my messages, it may reach you via different channels – emails and WhatsApp. Do share and circulate these messages widely amongst your team and colleagues within the organization. The Senior Leadership is continuously assessing and monitoring the situation as it unfolds and I assure you we are well-prepared to handle the crisis. Working from home may be new to most of us and it’s important to recognize that it requires discipline and accountability. It is important to be available to respond to everyone, especially your critical stakeholders, in a timely manner during these times of turmoil and disruption. As we operate as a virtual organization, I urge you to use this time effectively, revisit old projects and utilize this time prepping for business-as-usual, which may arrive without much notice.

Our spirit is beyond damage and well beyond the grasp of this Virus. Let’s pledge to stay positive and do our best to keep our homes and the country safe.

TAFE adjudged ‘Brand of the Year’ at the 2nd Corporate Communication Awards

TAFE’s sustained efforts in areas of brand building, communications and community outreach initiatives were recognized with the ‘Brand of the Year’ award at the 2nd Edition of the Corporate Communications Awards held in Mumbai on 13th February 2020. TAFE’s Corporate Communications team won the ‘Best in-house Corporate Communications Team of the Year’ award at this event.

The jury comprised of senior communication professionals from various corporates. The organizing team received more than 50 applications under various categories and TAFE secured pole position at this event by bagging 5 awards for its brand building, digital marketing and CSR initiatives.
