TAFECAFE wishes all its engineers a very Happy Engineers Day!
We would like to recognize the efforts of our able engineers at all our plants and various offices for their commitment to engineering excellence at TAFE.
This day marks the birthday of one of India’s most revolutionary engineers, Sir. M. Vishweshwarayya. He was involved in building numerous dams, including the KRS Dam. All his work stands strong even today.
The theme for the this year’s Engineers Day is: “Appropriate Climate-Responsive Technologies For Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development”, which according to Institute of Engineers – India, means that engineers can play a vital role in this challenging scenario of sustaining inclusive growth without compromising with the process of sustainable development by establishing the concept of “Land to Lab and Lab to Land” in true sense.
Check out the link to the new theme song for the annual Sembiam event – Sembiam Sangamam!
The video and the song was the brainchild of Murali – Asst. Manager, Personnel and team.
The video and the lyrics depict different departments doing their part and coming together to achieve the common objective of the company, which is the prime objective of this video. It shows the unity in direction among all these different departments.
This project took about two months for completion, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience as it brought employees together. They shared some light moments on and off the camera!
Cheers to Murali and his friends circle for creating this piece in the spirit of TAFE!
TAFE recognises achievements at every stage, and on this note, the TAFE Young Achiever Awards 2012 was held at the Sembium Plant premises this past week. The function recognized all the employees’ children who excelled in their 10th and 12thstd exams this year.
Employees gathered around with their families in order to proudly celebrate their children’s academic achievement. After a good lunch, the families were taken on a tour around the Sembiam factory premises.
Post their factory visit, the awards function commenced. The chief guests of the occasion were R C Banka – Executive Director and Deputy CEO, G.Hari – President and COO Tractor Business, and S.Ramakrishnan – CITO TAFE.
After some very special words from the dignitaries, awards were distributed to the young stars, and they came up on stage to receive them, with their respective families.
The concluding part of the event saw smiling faces all around, and the employees felt a sense of belongingness with TAFE.
Cheers to these bright young children for their outstanding performance!
We wish them all the best in their future pursuits!
A month ago, students of IX and X Std from Vidya Mandir Estancia visited J-Farm on a field trip, and judging by their feedback, they had a very informative and fun time there!
The field trip involved many activities, and one of them was an informative lecture by our very own S.S Nagarajan- VP Agricultural Research, J Farm, on Agriculture and its history. In addition to this, there was also a session delivered by the mechanic staff about Implements and machinery.
The Students seemed to have thoroughly engrossed themselves into knowing more about agriculture after this vist. Here’s a snapshot of their feedback on the visit, and a couple of pictures of the students at JFarm.
Other activities from this field trip will be uploaded soon, so stay tuned to TAFECAFE!
